Aux Marchés

We went to visit Paris’ largest flea market out at Saint Ouen.  Whilst there, we tried ‘les marons’ – Chestnuts, enjoyed a delicious crêpe au nutella (for Tori) et au sucre for Georgia and Victoria.  After seeing all the antiques etc.. we headed off to the opposite side of the outskirts of Paris to the Christmas Market.  This was such a beautiful market where we tried the most delicious dried fruits.  We are all ready to start our school/s tomorrow.

Jardin du Luxembourg

Samedi…… We went to visit the Luxembourg gardens today.  We saw a puppet show at  ‘le théâtre des marionettes’.  The show was the 3 little pigs (les trois petits chochons).  Afterwards, we walked over the arts bridge and saw all the pet stores.  Such cute puppies!!!!  Just a short walk back home to enjoy some patisseries after dinner.  Miam, miam.

La Tour Eiffel

We had lunch at the Eiffel Tower today!!!!!!  We went up to the restaurant in the private lift which gave us a wonderful view of the city.  Watch the film to hear about what we ate.  The food was just unbelievable.  However, water was like drinking gold at 9 Euros a bottle!!!  How much is that is Australian dollars?  Let me know.  A tout à l’heure…..

Au Marché - Day 2

It’s Thursday, our first real day in Paris as yesterday we were very tired.  We went to the bakery for croissants and pain au chocolat at 8am and then went walking to find the street of pet shops BUT we got distracted!  Too many shops on the way which were just gorgeous.  Check out the photos!
On the way home, we walked through a market place and bought some beautiful fruit – les clementines, les kakis et les bananes.

Bonjour tout le monde…. I have arrived in Paris after a very long flight – 8 hours to Singapore with a 3 hour stop over and then another 13 hours to get to Paris.  After settling in at the apartment, we went for a walk around the area and had lunch in a brasserie.  On the menu there was “steak hâchée au cheval” –What’s that??  Well, watch my video and find out………
